Beginning
There is no language prerequisite for courses at this language level. However, students must take a placement exam to determine the course level into which they will be able to enroll.

Overview

General Objectives:
To build the basic vocabulary for use in everyday conversations.
To give the student the resources of vocabulary introduction, and practice the new vocabulary learned.
To build the vocabulary that would be used in basic communicative situations.

Contents
The vocabulary, communication and linguistics is articulated through the themes below.

A. Greetings

B. Practical vocabulary for conversation.

C. The house and the city:
a. Urban vocabulary. Directions, ¿Hay…? ¿Dónde está…? ¿Qué es esto…?

D. The human body.
a. Physical descriptions
b. ¿Qué le pasa? At the doctor’s office.

E. The Character. ¿Cómo soy? ¿Cómo son?

F. Numbers. The bought product and shopping.
a. Clothes. At the store.
b. Public hours.

G. Outside the house: café or restaurant.

H. Atmospheric temperature.

I. The family. Familial relationships.

J. Professions: work and study.

K. Free time: distractions and spectacles: tv, movies, music.

L. Social life: Birthdays, weddings…

M. Expressing sentiments and courtesy.

N. Luck. The lottery, games, etc.
