Prior to enrolling in courses at this language level, students must have completed or tested out of a minimum of 2 upper-division college-level Spanish courses at their home university in the U.S.

Overview

This course concentrates on the contemporary elements of the European community within the twentieth century contexts. In addition, time will be devoted to the history of the formation of the European community along with historical ruptures and conflicts. The semester will be divided by topics: roots of European integration until World War II, the fifties: Rome agreements, creation of the European Economic Community, European Union and the future of an integrated Europe.
