REQUIRED READINGS
In the presentation of some of the topics, the corresponding required readings will be indicated, the content of which will be considered course material.
EVALUATION
Writing Notebook
Students will receive a weekly writing activity that should be turned in within a week from the time it was assigned. Outside of this time frame, no work will be accepted. There will be no more than 12 projects in total. Students do not have to submit up to 2 of the assigned projects. This will have a total maximum value of 20% of the final course grade.
Practices in class
Throughout the term, there will be a maximum of 5 classroom practices that will be evaluated. Students should understand that the completion of all of them is obligatory. They will have a total maximum value of 15% of the final course grade.
Final project
Starting from a text of contemporary literature, there will be a 4 page (approx 2,000 word) project. Handwritten projects will not be accepted. For the project, 4 alternative novels will be proposed. There will be absolute liberty in the completion of the project, but it is necessary that it should include a critical judgment of the work, totally understood or well referred to some formal, thematic, etc. aspect. It involves the writing of a personal text. If it includes facts taken from other sources, it is OBLIGATORY to cite and mark them typographically in the text. In any case, it may not exceed 10% of the project.
IMPORTANT: If it is detected that any of the works handed in have been copied in total or in part from an outside source, the class will be qualified as a suspension. It will have a total value of 10% in the final course grade.
FINAL EXAM
At the end of the course, there will be a written exam that must be passed and will have a minimum value of 55% of the final grade.
