Overview

The objective of this course is to provide a a basic foundation in Applied Linguistics and touches upon methods of teaching foreign languages. The following topics will be covered: concepts and definitions of applied linguistics, the teaching of foreign languages: formal and functional components of languages, similarities and differences of first and second language acquisition, teaching methodology.
