Just 90 km south of San Sebastian, Pamplona is home to some of Spain’s most important bullfights which take place during the fiestas of San Fermin. The famous Running of the Bulls takes place July 7-15 and is not to be missed. The city sprang from four older cities which were united in the 1420’s. As is the case with many cities in this area of Spain; well kept Shops, cafes and parks line the river (Arga) that runs through town. The Museum of Navara is home to relics from the Goths, paintings by Goya and contemporary artwork. Located in the foothills of the Pyrenees in one of Spain’s most important wine regions the opportunity to visit this picturesque Navarren capitol is not to be missed.
