Intermediate

This course is designed for students who have completed or tested out of a minimum of two semesters (or three quarters) of college-level Spanish. However, students must take a placement exam to determine the course level into which they will be able to enroll.

OBJECTIVE

To understand and communicate familiar situations fluidly and to express oneself adequately in unfamiliar situations, using complete linguistic structures.

3. Pursuading and convincing
4. Justifying and giving excuses
5. Accurately revealing one’s point of view about an event
6. Formulating and refuting assertions, needs, and obligations
7. Rejecting and accepting expressions of probability
8. Advising, suggesting, and recommending
9. Comprehending and providing information in linguistic registries: formal, informal, familiar, and common
10. Understanding the diverse sociolinguistic and dialectal varieties
