Home to the oldest university in Spain, Salamanca has gained fame as a center for intellectuals. During the day, students will take a walking tour of this busy university town and explore the various architectural styles, which include a visit to the two cathedrals and the famous Plaza Mayor. Named the “European City of Culture” by the European Union in 2002, Salamanca also offers students the opportunity to explore its various cultural aspects, including classical music, jazz, movies, art exhibitions, and museums.
