This program offers students the opportunity to take courses in grammar as well as courses that expand on Spanish culture. The back-to-back option is also available, where students may combine two trimester sessions. All courses are held at the Menendez Pelayo International University with American and other international students.

Eligibility

Minimum GPA

Students must have a minimum grade point average of 2.50.

Minimum Admissions Prerequisites

For intermediate, advanced, and superior level Spanish speakers. Students must have a 2.5 GPA. All students must take a Spanish language placement exam upon arrival in Santander. The exam will indicate each student's language proficiency level, and will determine the courses in which the student is eligible to enroll. Students who arrive in Spain having completed one full year of college-level Spanish will likely place into the intermediate level courses. Students who arrive in Spain having completed two years of college-level Spanish will likely place into advanced level courses. Students who arrive in Spain having completed three years of college-level Spanish will likely place into the superior level courses.
