Overview

OBJECTIVES
Given the special importance that the Christian religion has had in history and in the present-day world, as a religion practiced by a great part of humanity, the course is dedicated especially to understanding the birth and development of Christianity in the midst of the religions of antiquity. The course will complement the theoretical lessons with the lectures of sources and the present bibliography for the student. The theoretical lessons on the professor’s part include the commentary in class of literary texts and illustrations based on slides and laminations.

5. The diffusion of eastern religions in the Roman world.
