Overview

Spanish cinema undergoes an important transformation following the death of Franco in 1975 and the ensuing democracy. During these last 30 years, Spanish cinema has become a stronger player on the European scene and has gained recognition which was unthinkable only a few decades ago. This course will analyze the historical evolution of this period as well as introduce the student to Spanish films up to the present time.
