OBJECTIVES
The aim of this Course is to provide an overall vision of the possibilities of Cinema as a didactic instrument by which knowledge of the Classical World may be transmitted. Classes will be based on the screening of movies which will then become the subject of comment in terms of the historically-based content to be explored.
This Course, therefore, finds itself drawn into the process of the revitalization of this kind of cinematic genre which has taken place in recent years, as confirmed by the number of new titles dealing with Greeks and Romans that have reached the movie screen. In this way, a demonstration is being offered of the educational potential of Cinema, as well as the present-day relevance of this kind of subject-matter.
