The following activities are often available in Valencia, offering opportunities for students to participate in and learn about Spanish culture:
A guided visit is organized for students to explore the city center and the University of Valencia. Resident staff members will show you the best restaurants, shops, monuments and plazas of the city and will give you a thorough introduction to your new home.
Language and culture exchanges (intercambios) are arranged with local students and residents to give students the opportunity to interact with native speakers.
Throughout the semester, the ISA resident staff organizes football and volleyball tournaments and excursions to a local bowling alley, allowing students to participate in a bit of friendly competition.
The ISA resident staff also leads a visit to the City of Arts and Sciences, where students can marvel in modern architecture, see an IMAX film, and visit Europe's largest aquarium.
Each week, the ISA staff publishes a cultural guide that includes the week's most interesting events happening around the city. Attend a soccer game or a concert, visit the local cinema, tour any number of Valencia's museums or participate in holiday festivities.
