This course is designed for students who have completed or tested out of a minimum of four semesters (or six quarters) of college-level Spanish. However, students must take a placement exam to determine the course level into which they will be able to enroll.

Overview

This course analyzes both the poetry and narrative works of key feminine authors in Spanish literature, from the 19th century to the modern day. The course objective is that through the aforementioned works, the students arrive at an understanding of the social and historical reality of the time in which the literature was written, extending past its purely literary worth.
