Buenos AiresMulti-Country ConceptISA established its Multi-Country program model in 2002, opening the door to one of the most unique and innovative study abroad experiences available to students. Multi-country programs take students to multiple countries over the course of one semester and are ideal for students who want to maximize their study abroad experience by studying in more than one location. These programs are especially unique and enriching in that they encourage students to draw cultural and historical comparisons from the overall experience after having spent time at each of the program sites. What's Included
I have enjoyed the simultaneous freedom and support ISA provides. The staff is always ready to help out with any question or problem, but the program itself very much allows a student to explore the city and country on their own terms. The help with the volunteer aspect has been very instructive as wellI couldn't have found this [volunteer]work on my own. -- Henry Freedland , Brown University Buenos Aires (pop. 13 million) is well-known for its cultural diversity and dynamic atmosphere, making it one of South America's most elegant and vibrant cities. The city's history revolves around the Western European immigrants whose descendants have preserved their influences since the 19th century by way of architecture, art, and style. Buenos Aires has also adopted some more modern architectural styles, which provide a notable contrast to the city's deep-rooted traditions and history. Students in Buenos Aires will benefit from the support of the ISA on-site office. Resident staff members will assist students with travel information, volunteer and internship opportunities, and tutoring. Alumni from ISA's Buenos Aires program have found that their time abroad exceeded their expectations, and they frequently highlight the ISA Buenos Aires staff, the accommodating housing options, and the endless cultural activities as unforgettable aspects of their experiences.
