This course is a continuation of Advanced Japanese I.
The goal of this course is to reach N3 Japanese Proficiency Level. In principle this course is given only in Japanese.
The aims of this course are as follows:
1) increase reading and writting abilities
2) understand transitivity pairs, honorific verbes, extra-modest expressions, passive sentences, causative sentences and causative-passive sentences
3) develop listening and speaking abilities not only in class but also through visitor sessions with Japanese students covering contemporary topics and by making speech presentations
Courses and course hours of instruction are subject to change.
Eligibility for courses may be subject to a placement exam and/or pre-requisites.
Credits earned vary according to the policies of the students' home institutions. According to ISA policy and possible visa requirements, students must maintain full-time enrollment status, as determined by their home institutions, for the duration of the program.
Availability of courses is based on enrollment numbers. All students should seek pre-approval for alternate courses in the event of last minute class cancellations
