  • Overview

    Course Objectives
This course attempts to establish a framework upon which the student can evaluate the political careers, policies and governing styles of the current world leadership by examining notable political leaders of the recent past and immediate present.

    Course Description
Taking Max Weber’s tripartite classification of authority (charismatic, traditional and rational-legal) as a theoretical basis, this course employs readings on political theory and extracts from biographical accounts of Mao Zedong, Joseph Stalin, Woodrow Wilson, Adolf Hitler, Ho Chi Minh, Nelson Mandela and others which offer detailed and revealing glimpses of these and other selected world leaders.
