    Course Objectives
    Researching the connection between nature and visual arts through the past centuries until today. How does art reflect nature and society?
    What is the role of nature in visual Art? How did and still does nature and environment fascinate and influence artists in the past and
    present? Students will study examples and create drawings and small artworks reflecting the connection between nature and
    art

    Course Description
    This course will focus on (1) the connection of nature and visual art through the centuries, (2) art genres (landscape painting, still life), (3) selected artists influenced by and reacting to environmental changes The course will include lectures, demonstrations, student presentations, excursions and studio practice.

    Required Textbooks
    sketch book A3, pencil 2B, 4B, 6B, oil pastels, basic supplies, 4 single sheets watercolor paper A3 , water color pencils, small soft brush
    Sketch book and pencils will be needed for the first class, all other supplies can be brought later.
