This is an introductory course that will give students a broad overview of Information Technology business. Students learn about how companies utilize information systems to arrange their internal and supply-side business activities. They also learn about how companies develop their markets using information systems. Weekly group activities and a teamwork assignment are used to help students acquire practical skills that can be transferred to the work environment.
The topics are introduced in lectures, and key concepts and theories are then exercised with group assignments. These group assignments aim at building the skills for practical application of the material. Additionally, the students are asked to write a team report and prepare and conduct a team presentation related to the topics. The course concludes with a final exam that evaluates student assimilation of the material in a holistic way.
