The goal of this course is for students to develop an understanding of management theory and concepts. Students learn to define, discuss and describe the management functions of planning, organizing, staffing, directing and controlling within an organization. Through group activities, they develop managerial problem-solving abilities in these areas.
The topics are introduced in lectures, and key concepts and theories are then exercised with group assignments. These group assignments aim at building the skills for practical application of the material. The course concludes with a final exam that evaluates student assimilation of the material in a holistic way.
