This course is designed to provide an introduction to Human Resource Development. We aim to:
- Examine factors that impact training and development at work
- Learn how to determine if training is needed, what the fundamentals of training design and delivery are, and how to evaluate training programs
- Discuss the role of training and development in employee career management, social responsibility, and the future of an organization. We will pursue our learning using a variety of tools such as readings, lectures, cases, discussions, in-class short presentations, and a team project.
