Course Description and Objectives:
- To gain an understanding of psychopathology theories, research, and clinical implications
- To understand the Multipath Model of Mental Disorders to explain how four essential factors-biological, psychological, social, and sociocultural-interact to cause mental disorders.
- To become aware of major ethical issues that face graduate student and professional psychotherapists
- To understand the multicultural, sociocultural, and diversity aspects of abnormal psychology
