Course Description and Objectives
This course is aimed at providing the students with the basic finance concepts and their applications. They include the time value of money, risk and return tradeoff, security valuation, and capital budgeting, to name a few. After this course, the students are expected to know how to evaluate a project, how to finance it, how to manage the risk associated with the project, how the capital market evaluates the project (and thus the company), and how the company interacts with the capital market.
