This is an advanced level English conversation course designed to improve listening, speaking and pronunciation skills. Students will be given ample opportunity to participate in a variety of speaking and listening activities. While the major goal of the course is to improve students? communicative abilities, attention will also be paid to proper grammar and speaking forms.

Grades will be based on how well you develop, prepare, and administer the discussion topic(s) you have chosen. You will also be evaluated on how well you discuss the topic(s) and fulfill any other assignments your classmate(s) in charge of the class choose and assign. Because you will spend far more time doing this than leading the entire class, it is very important that you and the rest of the members of your discussion group follow instructions, fulfill your individual roles, and COMPLETE the assignment.
Discussion Participation: 50%
Discussion Leadership: 40%

Eligibility for courses may be subject to a placement exam and/or pre-requisites.
Credits earned vary according to the policies of the students' home institutions. According to ISA policy and possible visa requirements, students must maintain full-time enrollment status, as determined by their home institutions, for the duration of the program.
Please reference fall and spring course lists as not all courses are taught during both semesters.
Availability of courses is based on enrollment numbers. All students should seek pre-approval for alternate courses in the event of last minute class cancellations
