  • Overview

This course focuses on securities whose cash flows are fixed; hence the course name, fixed income securities. The course covers both theories and practices for those fixed-income securities. Rather paradoxically, recent fixed income securities have some options embedded and thus their cash flows are not fixed. The course will also cover those securities using the binomial-tree approach. The continuous-time techniques are not covered in this course.
