Art from the 18th century through to the 20th century; reading from selected texts to understand the overall cultural and intellectual context for the modern and post-modern periods in art and architecture.
To provide the students with a basic understanding of the visual arts. Upon completion students will be given enough background in art history, art making and art criticism to discuss the matter with more confidence and appreciation.

Credits earned vary according to the policies of the students' home institutions. According to ISA policy and possible visa requirements, students must maintain full-time enrollment status, as determined by their home institutions, for the duration of the program.
