OverviewHuman impacts on ecosystems and natural resources; structure, function and diversity of global ecosystems, ecosystem valuation and management, and threats to ecosystem function including climate change, pollution and extinction; scientific approaches to investigation of the causes and potential solutions of threats to ecosystems are discussed. A day trip for direct observation and study of ecosystem function and management is required.

Credits earned vary according to the policies of the students' home institutions. According to ISA policy and possible visa requirements, students must maintain full-time enrollment status, as determined by their home institutions, for the duration of the program.
