On completion of the module students should be able to demonstrate:
i. A detailed knowledge of selected iconic and fictional figures;
ii. An awareness of how British icons reflect changing social attitudes;
iii. A knowledge of a range of relevant texts;
iv. An ability to write critically and persuasively about the issues discussed in the
module, and to undertake independent research.

? Harry Potter
? Brit Girls
? 11 weekly 3-hour lectures/workshops/screenings, sometimes integrated with
? 4 group fieldtrips.
? 2 x short papers (850 words) (15% each/30% total)
? 1 x research essay (2500 words) (40%)
? 1 x independent paper (1,500 words) (30%)

Eligibility for courses may be subject to a placement exam and/or pre-requisites.
Some courses may require additional fees.
Credits earned vary according to the policies of the students' home institutions. According to ISA policy and possible visa requirements, students must maintain full-time enrollment status, as determined by their home institutions, for the duration of the program.
Please reference fall and spring course lists as not all courses are taught during both semesters.
