OverviewCONSUMING RACEModule Code SSOC609 Level 6 Credit 15This module explores how the meanings of race are made and remade in acts of creative consumption. Byconsuming race we make sense of other groups and cultures, communicate our own identities, express needsand desires, and discover new ways of thinking and being. Ranging across the terrain of popular culture, andfinding race in some unusual and unexpected places, this module offers fresh and innovative ways of thinkingabout the centrality of race to our lives.

Eligibility for courses may be subject to a placement exam and/or pre-requisites.
Some courses may require additional fees.
Credits earned vary according to the policies of the students' home institutions. According to ISA policy and possible visa requirements, students must maintain full-time enrollment status, as determined by their home institutions, for the duration of the program.
