Overview
The module will provide an overview of probability theory and the theory of statistical inference, and will develop a
range of applications derived from this theoretical framework. A particular emphasis will be placed on the development
of the single equation regression model, emphasising the applications of the model within a causal modelling context
and the manner in which the model can be used for prediction/forecasting purposes.
Assessment: Project (2000 words) (50%) ; Exam (50%).
