Overview
This module enables the student to understand the working of the European Union, and the impact of European Union
law upon business. The role of EU institutions and the effect of EU law upon the legal systems of member states are
considered. The importance of the single market policies relating to goods, persons, and services is explored. The
module also covers the impact of EU social policy (especially sex discrimination) and EU competition policy upon
business activity.
Assessment: Coursework 1 (50%) and Coursework 2 (50%).
