Students will understand the scale and importance of the built environment and the role of management? To develop the principles of the application of planning, organizing, leading and controlling resources in the modern development and construction enterprise? An appreciation of the property development process.? To study the importance of projects, the role of the project manager and project teams? Students to gain an overview of the international context, drivers and cultural influences? Students will have an introduction to the key management tools particularly related to projects e.g. time, cost, quality? An appreciation of the main risks facing the construction enterprise and a more in depth study of risks associated with projects? ECTS (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System) credits are converted to semester credits/quarter units differently among U.S. universities. Students should confirm the conversion scale used at their home university when determining credit transfer.
