  • Overview

University of Reading Course Catalog Listing:

MODULE (Course) SELECTION NOTES- PLEASE READ
    • Be sure to look at individual course pre-requisite information and confirm that you meet any requirements.
    • Courses prefixed by ?1? or noted as Level 4 are considered equivalent to freshman/sophomore level courses and lower division.
    • Courses prefixed by ?2? (Level 5) or ?3? (Level 6) correspond to Junior and Senior level courses and are considered upper division courses.
    • Many courses prefixed by ?3? require a high level of subject specialization and are similar to senior seminars or graduate level courses in the US.

    • NOTE: If a course is listed as being taught in multiple terms you must be attending all terms listed to take the course. It does NOT mean that it is taught in each semester, but rather over the course of each semester. For example if "Terms Taught" is listed as 'Autumn' than it is strictly a fall class. If "Terms Taught" is listed as Autumn and Spring than the course is taught over both terms and you must be enrolled for both Fall & SPring to take the class. Some exceptions can be made, please contact ISA with further questions.
    •
    • Keep in mind that a module running over two terms and advertised as 10 ECTS credits would break down to 5 ECTS credits per term.
    •
    • Choose your courses carefully because there is a strong likelihood that changing courses on ?site will be difficult, or incur extra costs. You will be pre-registered for the courses listed on this form.
    •
    • Your course schedule is confirmed on-site after meeting with a University of Reading academic advisor.

Course Disclaimer

Courses and course hours of instruction are subject to change.

Some courses may require additional fees.

Credits earned vary according to the policies of the students' home institutions. According to ISA policy and possible visa requirements, students must maintain full-time enrollment status, as determined by their home institutions, for the duration of the program.

ECTS (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System) credits are converted to semester credits/quarter units differently among U.S. universities. Students should confirm the conversion scale used at their home university when determining credit transfer.

Please reference fall and spring course lists as not all courses are taught during both semesters.

Please note that some courses with locals have recommended prerequisite courses. It is the student's responsibility to consult any recommended prerequisites prior to enrolling in their course.
