  • Overview

    This module involves placing the student with a team and also in the Student led Clinic. In addition the student will take part in the Journal Club. The module aims to teach the student 1. how to carry out a complete patient assessment (subjective and objective) in 20-25 mins in a clinic or pitch-side environment 2. how to prepare, deliver (in a concise and coherent manner) and discuss case presentations immediately after the patient consultation to plan and progress sport-specific injury rehabilitation to maintain and organise clinical notes

    Learning Outcomes
    1. parform a full clinical assessment of an injured athlete in 25 minutes
    2. perform and discuss an oral presentation of a clinical case after a 25 minute patient assessment
    3. prepare a written case summary with specific emphasis on the rehabilitation plan
    4. perform a journal club presentation
    5. write a log book of cases seen
