  • Overview

    This course introduces students to the design and construction of straw accessories such as hats and bags. 3D design principles and hatmaking techniques are studied and applied to wearable and non- wearable creations. Students learn basic skills of millinery construction through the methods of patterned and blocked forms, how to manipulate straw and, how to acquire a in-depth understanding of the material.
