    A resume/CV and cover letter are required to apply for an English language assistant position. After reviewing your application, UCSC will contact you to schedule a Skype call.
    Students must have Junior or Senior standing at the time of participation.
    Please note that the application deadline for the Language Assistant Program may be earlier than the ISA application deadline. Contact the Italy Site Specialist for more details.
    Students must also take the English Teaching Practicum component of the Language Assistant Program.

  • Overview

    The Teaching Workshop is led by the UCSC faculty and will prepare students for the in-class language support they will provide during the English Teaching Practicum component of the Language Assistant Program. At the end of the semester, students will complete a final reflective report, which will be their assesment for the workshop component of the program.
    *An additional course fee will apply.
    *Students who take the Teaching Workshop must also take the English Teaching Practicum.
