    This course will examine the literature and history of The Grand Tour, from it origins in Renaissance and its heyday in the eighteenth century to the sentimental tourism of the nineteenth century and its evolution into modern tourism. We will take an interdisciplinary approach and examine theory, history, non-fiction accounts, and literary travel writing.
