OverviewA historical survey of American society from the Declaration of Independence to the present, topics include the War of Independence and the Constitution. Monroe and Jackson, expansion westwards, the Civil War, reconstruction, the development of Industrial America, the Progressive Movement, World War I, the Depression, World War II, the McCarthy era, the Civil Rights Movement, the Feminist Movement and the Vietnam War.
Courses and course hours of instruction are subject to change.
Eligibility for courses may be subject to a placement exam and/or pre-requisites.
Some courses may require additional fees.
Availability of courses is based on enrollment numbers. All students should seek pre-approval for alternate courses in the event of last minute class cancellations
