OverviewA study of selected aspects of modern Europe, focusing on the post-1945 period, the course focuses on major themes of the age, from the origins of World War I to the reunification of Germany, will be selected for discussion. Topics include the emergence of and challenges to the welfare state, the Communist Revolutions, changing defense considerations, East-West relations and the European Union.
Courses and course hours of instruction are subject to change.
Eligibility for courses may be subject to a placement exam and/or pre-requisites.
Some courses may require additional fees.
Availability of courses is based on enrollment numbers. All students should seek pre-approval for alternate courses in the event of last minute class cancellations
