Overview
The aim of the course is to trace a journey through the history of Spanish narrative prose of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, taking a thematic reference: the city, especially Barcelona, and its writers. The course covers the writers, their works, schools of thought and literary movements. It also deals with the study of the Hispano-American culture through some of its most representative works and the socio-cultural and artistic framework in which they were written. The main objective is to provide the student with the knowledge and specific reading keys, as well as to promote and develop the different comprehension and interpretation strategies linked to the Spanish and Latin American worlds of art and culture.
