OverviewEngineering subdisciplines such as material and energy balances, transport processes and unit operations are approached in areas of modern biotechnology: biomaterials, tissue engineering, microbial fermentation and microalgae culture. Bioreactor design and kinetics involving cell are analyzed from an engineering point of view.
