    Understand the theoretical and conceptual foundations of the organization of information and documents.
    · Know the principles and functions of the Documentation.
    · Acquire skills in the processes of searching and cataloging documentary.
    · To train students to perform work of documentary research and documentary analysis of printed, audiovisual information and web environments.
    · Foster critical, analytical and reflective capacity in the process of search and selection of relevant information for learning and knowledge.
    · Meet processing operations and document analysis, functions and the representation of documents later retrieval and dissemination.
    · Understand the concept of documentary language and the meaning of knowledge organization as a language and structure of any system of information retrieval.
    · Acquire basic knowledge about the use of specialized information sources in audiovisual documentation and search for resources in the digital environment.
