  • Overview

    This course is a Continuation of Calculus I; transcendental functions, methods of integration, conics, vectors.

    Topics covered:

    Substitution rule, area between the curves, volumes, improper integrals, sequences, series, integral test, comparison, alternating and radio tests, power series, Taylor and Maclaurin Series, work, arc length, differential and separable equations, Euler's method, Integration by parts, trigonometric substitutions for integrals, intergration of rational functions by using partial fractions, approximate integration.

    Student Learning Outcomes:

    • Use integration by parts to evaluate an integral
    • Anti-differentiate trigonometric and rational functions
    • Approximate a definite integral numerically using the Trapexoidal Rule and Simposon's Rule

    Calulator Policy

    You will need a scientific calculator for exams. A common choice is the TI-30X II S. However, you might want to graph functions when doing your homework. The free online graphing utility by Runiter Company is recommended. No graphing calculators, PDA;s, phones etc. are allowed during exams.
