    DESCRIPTION: The course presents all the basics of how to start and became a founder of a technology based startup. The topics include an overview of what innovation is and entrepreneurship methodologies such as design thinking, business model canvas, customer development, lean startup and general management and team building notions. The content of the course comprehends theoretical and practical lessons guided by the development of a startup idea.

    METHODOLOGY: the program combines different types of teaching, learning and evaluation resources.

    • Theoretical, practical and interactive lessons where the professor introduces various topics and then activities for students to learn about the contents. Students work individually or in pairs depending on the topic and the activity.
    • Case studies are showed for students to think of and analyze.
    • Relationship with the Chilean ecosystem related to the development of different start ups.
    • Final Project: students need to develop a startup where they put into practice the contents learnt during the program

    LENGTH: 60 hours - 4 pedagogical hours classes
    ATTENDANCE: A minimum of 80% attendance is expected.
    EVALUATION

    1. Fieldwork – case studies- lecture participation: 30%
    2. Readings and essays: 20%
    3. Final Project: 30%
    4. Presentation final Project: 20%
