    This course introduces students to the study of international trade and trade policy. For this purpose, students learn about the global trade environment and international business from the perspective of a developing economy. The course takes into account the characteristics of Latin American and Peruvian economies in order to assess their role in the international markets.

    By the end of the course, students will be able to explain how economic theory and policy analysis can help us to understand the economic opportunities and challenges Peru and other Latin American economies will face in the future.

    Also covered is the use of databases and methodological tools to identify new trade opportunities.
