  • Overview

    Biotechnology is the interface of basic and applied sciences. It is considered as the most practical field in biological science where gradual and smart transformation of science into technology plays a crucial role. Biotechnology is defined as the application of scientific and engineering principals to the processing of material by biological agents to provide goods and services.

    This course will provide a comprehensive overview of biotechnology in life science and their broad applications in mine, textile, food and cosmetic industries. This course will also present the potential of the applications of nanotechnology to the referred industries and also for medical issues. The presentation of biotechnology applications in life science and industries will provide the opportunity of discovering “how deeply biotechnology is related with our life”. Through the lessons, the students will learn the application of biotechnology to their own areas of expertise and discover the importance of an interdisciplinary work.
