    This is a theoretical-practical course whose purpose is to design, solve problems and apply new technologies. Management concepts and tools will be developed to contribute to sustainable development, which will minimize environmental impacts through the rational use of resources and management of solid waste, effluents and emissions generated in the production systems of goods and services.

    The following topics will be covered: introduction to sustainable development, pollutants and the environment, solid waste management, environmental management in industry, environmental management tools, life cycle analysis and cleaner production and eco-design. The course also contributes to professional responsibility and ethics and teamwork.
