This is a final year capstone unit that draws together your professional knowledge and experience to date, and supports you to critically reflect on your developing identity as an early childhood professional, to articulate your educational philosophy and pedagogy of teaching and to prepare for your transition to teaching. Embedded in this unit is a final year field experience, where students apply knowledge developed throughout their course, in the areas of professional work of the teacher and pedagogy. This unit incorporates a 10 or 20 day block field placement in a kindergarten setting and 2 days (equiv) lead up at the same site.
