  • Overview

    The unit looks at the interactions of forces and events that act to produce elements of the built environment, and the role played by the built environment in shaping human history through the use of historical examples from around the world.
    Learning Outcomes
    To successfully complete this unit you will:
    1. Demonstrate advanced cognitive skills through the review and synthesis of historical documentation, and by utilising reasoning, critical thinking and judgement in its analysis,
    2. Demonstrate knowledge of some of the important social, cultural, and environmental issues related to the built environment,
    3. Develop the written skills and vocabulary necessary to produce, explain and argue a position, and,
    4. Demonstrate the capacity to work both in an independent and reflective manner, and as part of a team.
