  • Overview

    This unit addresses the logistics of the fashion supply chain, the timing of the fashion cycle and the new ways of producing and selling fashion in a global marketplace. The fashion industry will be studied as a system that is determined by economic, political, social, cultural and consumer trends and will analyse the contribution it makes to the global business environment. Opportunities will also be identified for career and entrepreneurial endeavours.
    Learning Outcomes
    On completion of this unit you should be able to:
    1. Identify, analyse and evaluate fashion supply chain logistics and their impact on business planning.
    2. Research current industry practices, planning and tools used within professional contexts.
    3. Develop a broad and coherent understanding of the processes and infra-structure required for successful industry strategies and fashion business models.
    4. Present research and analysis in appropriate academic and industry formats, both in written, visual and oral modes.
