OverviewIn the evolving fields of animation, games and graphical visualisation, you will require new literacies and skills to participate fully in the 3D Computer Graphics production process. By introducing you to principles, processes, methods and theories of modelling; the architecture of 3D graphics; and node based applications, you will gain a foundational understanding of 3D graphics production.Learning OutcomesOn completion of this unit you should be able to:
ContentThis unit addresses content such as understanding 3D space; 3D polygonal modelling; UV mapping and texturing techniques; 3D software architecture; expression; digital keyframe animation; and rendering processes. - Utilize the theoretical principles of 3D space and visualization.
- Demonstrate fundamental skills and the application of theoretical knowledge of 3D design, polygon modelling, texturing, animation, lighting and rendering.
- Demonstrate the practical processes of animation in 3D software.
- Apply creative and analytical skills in completion of a 3D Project in response to a Brief.
